Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance Planned for June

Atlus announced Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance, an enhanced version of 2021 Nintendo Switch title Shin Megami Tensei V that will also bring the game to new platforms. Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance will release for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch on June 21, 2024. Pre-orders for all platforms (except digitally for Nintendo Switch) will begin on February 27, 2024.

The new version will include the entirety of the original game plus a brand new story path, as well as new areas, demons, and music. At the start of the game, players will be able to select the original story, dubbed the “Canon of Creation”, or the new “Canon of Vengeance” story. The new story features a new enigmatic cohort of demons called the QadiĊĦtu, as well as a new dungeon and new map. Other improvements include more accessible gameplay elements with upgrades to the game’s combat, demon experiences, and field exploration.

Shin Megami Tensei V puts players in control of a Tokyo high school student who finds himself in a different apocalyptic version of the city. Before he is killed by hostile demons, he is saved by a mysterious being who merges with him to form a Nahobino, a powerful being that is neither human nor demon.
