New Release Round-Up (February 22, 2024)

Welcome to RPGamer’s new release round-up. In this column we look to provide our readers with details on all of the RPGs released over the week. Please note we do not currently include Early Access releases where the game is still in development.

Bandle Tale: A League of Legends Story

Crafting RPG Bandle Tale: A League of Legends Story is set in the world of Bandle City, home of the furry yordles. Players control a shy yordle living in the cosy island of Yarnville. After their 101-year apprenticeship ends, they seek to venture out through the portals connecting Bandle City; however, the portals collapse and throw Bandle City into chaos. Players are tasked with restoring the portals using their knitting magic with the help of various allies.

Inkulinati

Turn-based strategy title Inkulinati tells the story of the secret group of the same name comprised of historical and legendary figures from the Middle Ages. Players assume the role of a member of Inkulinati, drawing their units to confront the enemies in battles. The game features more than 50 units, each with their own special abilities.

King Arthur: Knight’s Tale

Tactical RPG King Arthur: Knight’s Tale is a re-telling of the classic legend where players take control of Sir Mordred, King Arthur’s nemesis. Sir Mordred is tasked with killing a twisted version of King Arthur that has returned from the dead to haunt the lands. Players recruit their own Knights of the Round Table and engage in tactical turn-based combat in both a lengthy story campaign and local competitive multiplayer. Last Epoch

Last Epoch is a loot-based action RPG. The game is set in the high fantasy world of Eterra, a world that is in its final stages as it is slowly consumed by darkness. Players are given the difficult task of potentially rewriting the world’s fate by traveling back in time to find and utilise the powers of the Epoch. The game had been since in Early Access since 2019.

Stories from the Outbreak

Turn-based zombie RPG Stories from the Outbreak sees players leading a group of survivors in the city of Riga during a zombie outbreak. Their objective is to reach the final ferry heading out across the North Sea to Iceland. Characters will talk between themselves and share polarising views as they attempt to get through the fifteen-plus types of enemy.

Tenderfoot Tactics

Tactical RPG Tenderfoot Tactics is set in a world where an entity known as the Fog has been eating its way through the dense forests. Players control a party of goblins, granted magic powers by an ancient spirit, that sets off to find the origins of the Fog and attempt to put a stop to it.

Warhammer 40,000: Chaos Gate – Daemonhunters

Tactical RPG Warhammer 40,000: Chaos Gate – Daemonhunters features a story written by author Aaron Dembski-Bowden and follows the secret Grey Knights chapter of the Space Marines. The Grey Knights find themselves called upon to deal with the spread of a plague called the Bloom, travelling the galaxy and determining which planets will survive in their efforts to stop the Bloom..
