Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot’s 23rd World Tournament Beginning This Week

Bandai Namco announced that the fifth DLC for action RPG Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot will release on August 17, 2023. The 23rd World Tournament covers the story arc of the same name that takes place prior to the events of Dragon Ball Z and features ground based battles that require different strategies than the main game’s aerial combat. It is the second of three pieces available as part of the game’s second Season Pass.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is a retelling of Dragon Ball Z, a manga and anime series centered on Kakarot, more commonly known as Goku. The game released worldwide in January 2020 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, with a Nintendo Switch version following in 2021 and dedicated PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions released in January 2023.
