Disgaea 7: Vows of the Virtueless Heading West in Fall

NIS America announced that it is releasing Disgaea 7 in North America and Europe. The latest title in the tactical RPG series, which released in Japan last week, will release as Disgaea 7: Vows of the Virtueless for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch in fall 2023.

The game will be released physically and digitally, including in a Limited Edition. The Limited Edition is available to pre-order now through NIS America’s North American online store and comes in two options: the $99.99 edition on its own and a $158.99 bundle alonside a Lil’ Fuji & Lil’ Pirilika Plush Set. The Limited Edition itself includes:

  • Physical copy of Disgaea 7: Vows of the Virtueless for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, or Nintendo Switch
  • Hardcover art book
  • 2-disc original soundtrack
  • SteelBook case
  • Byoubu art display
  • Yunomi tea cup
  • Collector’s box



Disgaea 7: Vows of the Virtueless takes place in the Hinomoto Netherworld Cluster, a netherworld inspired by Japanese culture that is losing its “Bushido” lifestyle after being taken over by the corrupt Oedo Shogunate. The story follows lazy samurai Fuji and Hinomoto otaku Pirilika, who collect an odd assortment of allies as they search for the Seven Weapons of Origin in order to defeat the Shogunate. The game adds a new Jumbification feature, as well as Item Reincarnation and an improved auto-battle system that lets players program character behaviour.
