Rune II Campaign Update Launching Next Week

Publisher Ragnarok Game LLC and developer Studio 369 have revealed the launch date for Rune IIs campaign update. The update will launch on September 9, 2020, though interested players can try it out now via the game’s Public Test Realm. The update will revamp the game’s main storyline, giving it new characters, new quests, and a new ending. It also adds the dungeons of Midgard, a skill tree system, and new events and creatures.

Rune II is not a direct sequel to the original game, but takes place in the same universe. The game was original developed by Human Head Studios and released for PC via the Epic Games Store in 2019, with Human Head Studios closing down and reforming as a new studio under Bethesda Softworks immediately after the game’s release. The game will also be made available on Steam in November 2020.
