Help End Ragnarok When Rune Enters Early Access

For those eagerly anticipating news regarding the upcoming Rune — which has been renamed from its previous title of Rune: Ragnarok — developer Human Head Studios has announced that the game will enter Steam Early Access this September. Though still without a firm launch date, Windows users will be able to put the game through its early paces. A new forty-second trailer accompanies the update.

Rune is set after the seventh year of Ragnarok, the end of days, with the human realm of Midgard plagued by war, giants, the undead, and other feral beasts. Players take on the role of a Viking warrior, the last flicker of light that stands before the mad god Loki’s plan to restart the cycle and trap the world in a never-ending apocalypse. Players will align themselves with a Norse god of their choosing, then attempt to face down Loki alone or with others via the game’s multiplayer mode. For additional information, check out the game’s official website.
