Rune II Trailer Highlights Loki’s Ages of Ragnarok

Human Head Studios has released a new trailer for Rune II, its upcoming follow-up to 2000’s hack-and-slash title Rune. The new trailer highlights the game’s premise, where Loki has found a way to avoid his fated death at the end of Ragnarok by manipulating time so that the eras of chaos are reset as it ends.

Rune II is not a direct sequel to the original game, but takes place in the same universe. The game sees players controlling a character chosen as Midgard’s saviour, who is tasked with bringing Ragnarok to its end before Loki and his minions can destroy Midgard. Rune II is set to be released for PC exclusively through the Epic Games Store this summer.
