Rune II Out Now, Development Staff Forms New Studio with Bethesda

Human Head Studios’ hack-and-slash RPG Rune II is out now. The game is available for PC via the Epic Games Store, priced at $29.99. A new launch trailer is viewable below.

Rune II is not a direct sequel to the original game, but takes place in the same universe. The game sees players controlling a character chosen as Midgard’s saviour, who is tasked with bringing Ragnarok to its end before Loki and his minions can destroy Midgard.

Following the game’s launch, Human Head Studios revealed that it is closing down. The development staff is moving to a new studio, Roundhouse Studios, under Bethesda Softworks. Like Human Head Studios, the new studio is based in Madison, Wisconsin.
