Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Launching in November

During its Ubisoft Forward digital event, Ubisoft announced a release date for its latest entry in the Assassin’s Creed series. Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will launch on November 17, 2020, for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Google Stadia. PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X versions will follow at a later date. Multiple digital and physical editions will be available.

In addition to announcing the release date, Ubisoft provided two videos showing off gameplay, both viewable below along with a new set of screenshots. The first video is a six-minute overview trailer, while the second is a thirty-minute walkthrough with commentary from Quest Director Philippe “Phyz” Bergeron.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is set during the Viking Age in the ninth century CE, and puts players in control of the Viking warrior Eivor, who can be male or female. The game features an open world complete with sailing as players lead raids on England after escaping the harsh conditions in Norway. Players will be able to shift the balance of power by dealing with various factions and will also be able to grow their home settlement, adding and upgrading buildings and facilities while the inhabitants build relationships.
