More Final Fantasy VII Remake Screenshots Show Multiple Elements

Square Enix released new screenshots and details for the upcoming Final Fantasy VII Remake. The images start off showing the game’s recently-revealed versions of Red XIII and Hojo before moving onto some of Tifa’s powerful attacks and a few other in-combat snapshots. They also introduce a new set of sidequests, where Midgar’s citizens and merchants will enlist Cloud’s assistance. Also new for the remake is Chadley, a 15-year-old research trainee under Professor Hojo, who can develop Materia for the party if they help his research. Finally, the screenshots show off the Chocobo Chick, Carbuncle, and Cactuar summons, and show the Mako Reactor and Corkscrew Tunnel locations.

Final Fantasy VII Remake will be released in multiple parts, with the first part taking players up to the “Escape from Midgar” section of the original Final Fantasy VII. The first game is currently set to be released for PlayStation 4 on April 10, 2020. Those looking to read more about the remake can check out RPGamer’s two impressions from E3 as well as an impression from PAX West.
