Mary Skelter 2 Gets More Info

Compile Heart’s Mary Skelter 2 is the follow-up to the 2017 dungeon-crawler Mary Skelter: Nightmares. The sequel stars a young girl named Otsuu and her adventures involving various fairy tale-based characters.

Players will have to navigate through various Jail environments that are filled with their own traps and puzzles. To help ease the challenges that lie ahead, players can enlist the help of characters known as Blood Maidens. Every Blood Maiden has their own Blood Ability, such as Cinderella’s Twelve Dash or Snow White’s Poison Bomb. Experimentation with these will be key to conquering the dungeons.

Also, there is a new feature added to both Mary Skelter: Nightmares and Mary Skelter 2 called Jail Trials. With this, players can add on conditions for their dungeon dives, which can vary from no use of items to no saving. While these may lead to copious amounts of death, they can also result in greater rewards. In addition, Jail Control from Nightmares will be making a revamped return.

Players can go dungeon crawling throughout the Jail later this month. Mary Skelter 2 will launch on October 22, 2019, in North America and on October 23, 2019, in Europe for the Nintendo Switch. There will also be a physical edition from Limited Run Games available for pre-order starting on November 26, 2019.
