Anthem Starts a New Video Series on Gameplay

BioWare has dropped the first of a series of gameplay trailers for Anthem. The trailer offers an introduction to the story while also detailing the game’s base Javelins: the Interceptor, the Ranger, the Colossus, and the Storm. The Interceptor focuses on speed, the Ranger focuses on precision strikes, the Colossus focuses on taking and dealing damage, and the Storm utilizes elemental abilities. These Javelins will then be able to be customized with up to two weapon slots, two further offensive equipment slots, one support gear slot, six component boosts, and an ability slot unique to each class of Javelin. There is also a truncated look at a story mission and free play.

Set in a world where humanity lives in fortified Strongholds while repelling the outside world through the use of mechanized suits, Anthem is an cooperative online action RPG with emphasis on an open-world and shooting gameplay. The game will release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on February 22, 2019.
