Ys Origin Finds Release Date on Xbox One

DotEmu has announced the release date for the Xbox One version of Ys Origin. The game will arrive on the system on April 11, 2018. Coming with the Xbox One version of the game will be some content exclusive to the system. A new trailer shows off some gameplay, including the new speed run mode and bosses that can be fought in the Devil’s Tower. The Xbox One version will also have a “blood option” which will allow players to control the amount of blood that appears in the game.

Originally localized for PC in 2012 by XSEED Games and later ported to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita in 2017, Ys Origins takes place 700 years before the events of Ys and Ys II, when demons came and forced the twin Goddesses to retreat their subjects to the safety of the clouds. However, the demons constructed a massive tower to take the fight to the heavens where the players must fend them off.
