Despite generally positive reviews, the first Octopath Traveler had its fair share of specific criticisms. Playing to its strengths, while working to fix perceived weaknesses, Octopath Traveler II delivers a masterpiece of a turn-based JRPG.

Square Enix is bringing Octopath Traveler II to Xbox consoles and the Windows Store. The hit HD-2D RPG will land on the new platforms early next year.

Square Enix released a free demo for Octopath Traveler II. The three-hour demo is available now on PS4, PS5, and Switch, is coming to PC tomorrow.
Square Enix introduced the final two playable character for Octopath Traveler II. Information on Ochette and Castti comes alongside a new trailer, some more screenshots, and a few other details.

In addition the recent mobile title, Octopath Traveler is getting a full console follow-up. Octopath Traveler II will tell a new intertwined story in a new world next year.
