In the midst of all the bombastic announcements at Microsoft’s E3 show, Obsidian found some time to slip in an announcement for a sequel to The Outer Worlds. A very, very slight announcement.
Suikoden spiritual successor Eiyuden Chronicle put in an appearance during the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase. Companion title Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising will launch in 2022, with the main event Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes coming in 2023.
RPGamer’s 2020 Game of the Year is heading to new platforms. Supergiant Games’ action roguelite will launch on PlayStation and Xbox consoles this August.
Bethesda’s latest RPG Starfield finally reappeared. The journey through the vast unknown will be exclusive to Xbox and PC and will launch in November of 2022.

Developer Alta’s virtual reality RPG A Township Tale is coming to Oculus Quest. The game lets up to eight players join to explore the areas around their town and fill numerous roles within it.
Mario and the Rabbids are teaming up once more. Sparks of Hope sees the unlikely allies saving the galaxy from the mysterious entity known as Cursa.
PC and PS5 action RPG Godfall is also coming to PS4. The PS4 version will launch alongside a free update and a paid expansion in August.
Big Sugar and Ludomotion released a new E3 trailer for Unexplored 2: The Wayfarer’s Legacy. The game is currently in Early Access, with a full release set for next year.

Fishing minigames are far from a rare sight in RPGs nowadays, but an actual fishing RPG is a novelty. Nonetheless, that’s what Reel Fishing: Road Trip Adventure can be described as, and Pascal Tekaia was able to cast his line at this year’s E3.
