During the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase, 505 Games announced that Suikoden spiritual successor Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes and its companion title Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising will release for Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S in addition to PC and will be available on Xbox Game Pass. Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes is now scheduled to launch in 2023, with Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising launching in 2022.

Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes is being developed by Rabbit & Bear Studios, with the development team being led by Suikoden series creator Yoshitaka Murayama. It is set in the world of Allraan, with its history shaped by magical items called rune-lenses. The Galdean Empire has emerged as the dominant power thanks to finding a technology that amplifies the rune-lenses, and it is now looking for an artefact that will enhance its power further. The game will feature HD 2.5D graphics with sprite-based characters, 100 unique heroes to join the protagonist, and turn-based battles with six-member parties. More details about the game can be found in RPGamerā€™s announcement article and an interview with Rabbit & Bear Studios.

Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising is billed as a “town-creation RPG”. It is being developed by Natsume-Atari and was funded as a stretch goal in Eiyduen Chronicle: Hundred Heroes’ original Kickstarter campaign.
