Dokapon Kingdom: Connect 2 Announced

Idea Factory International and Compile Heart have announced Dokapon Kingdom: Connect 2. Developer in conjunction with Sting, the game is the latest entry in Dokapon series that combines RPG and multiplayer tabletop board-game elements, and a direct follow-up to 2023’s Dokapon Kingdom: Connect. It is in development for PC, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2, and is planned for simultaneous release worldwide in 2027.

Dokapon Kingdom: Connect 2 sees players controlling adventurers looking to defeat monsters, save towns, and earn money while emerging victorious over their rivals. Adventurers take it in turn to travel around the map and find events and encounters, visit shops, and more. If two players land on the same spot, they can battle each other, with the winner able to steal items and money, or even punish their opponent with by giving them new hairstyles or changing their name.

The game features solo play, up to four-player couch multiplayer, and two-to-four-player online multiplayer. It includes over ten available classes, with players starting out as Warrior, Magician, or Thief before unlocking various other options, as well as brand new co-op battles where players join forces to take on a powerful enemy together.
