Hades II Welcomes the Warsong Update

Supergiant Games released a new major update for the Early Access version of action roguelike RPG Hades II. The “Warsong” update includes the game’s “Final Confrontation” as well as adding Ares, who provides players with new Boons; an updated Altar of Ashes; improved menu screens; a new animal familiar; and over 2,000 new voice lines with new events involving most of the game’s cast. The full patch notes are available to read on Steam, as well as in a dramatic reading below.

Hades II and its predecessor are inspired by Greek mythology, particularly its underworld. The game takes place some time after the previous game, though no knowledge of its events will be required. Players control Melinoë, the immortal Princess of the Underworld and brother of previous protagonist Zagreus, as she faces off against the Titan Chronos’s forces. It is currently available on Early Access through Steam and the Epic Games Store. A full release date has not yet been announced.
