Broken Roads Gets Polished with May Update

Developer Drop Bear Bytes released a new update for its post-apocalyptic RPG Broken Roads. The version 1.2 comes with many additions, changes, and fixes related to story, gameplay, localization, and more. The update greatly expands on the companion reactions, allowing them to voice their thoughts in response to the choices made by players through the game. The story has also been slightly altered to allow all origins to access content previously exclusive to a specific origin. More objectives and text lines have been added to certain quests, providing players a better understanding. The full details pertaining to the update can be found here.

Broken Roads is set in a post-apocalyptic Western Australia and follows a group of companions as they travel across the region making allies, battling enemies, and investigating strange goings-on. The game features real-time exploration with turn-based combat and a hand-drawn art style, as well as character development built around four philosophies: Humanist, Utilitarian, Machiavellian, and Nihilist. Broken Roads is currently available on PC (via Steam,, and Epic Games Store), PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S, with a Nintendo Switch release planned at an undetermined date.
