Sword of the Necromancer: Resurrection Gets Release Window

Grimorio of Games revealed a release window for its upcoming action RPG Sword of the Necromancer: Resurrection. The title is planned to launch at the end of summer 2024 on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and Nintendo Switch.

Sword of the Necromancer: Resurrection is a 3D remake of Sword of the Necromancer and was initially an unfulfilled stretch goal Sword of the Necromancer: Revenant‘s Kickstarter campaign. The game follows the journey of Tama, who seeks to bring her dead lover Koko back to life using the forbidden powers of the titular sword. Remastered illustrations and new scenes voiced in English and Japanese are planned to add depth to the tragic love story of Tama and Koko.

The reimagining of the top-down dungeon crawler features a new battle system with improved combos, the ability to customize the AI of summoned monsters, resurrecting defeated enemies and turning them into allies, and local co-op. Clearing the game will allow players to unlock rewards in Sword of the Necromancer: Revenant, such as being able to use the bosses from Resurrection as special summons.
