Genshin Impact Rings In the New Year with Update 3.4

HoYoverse has detailed the next update for its open-world RPG Genshin Impact. Dubbed “The Exquisite Night Chimes”, the 3.4 update will release on January 18, 2023, and sees the world of Teyvat celebrate the dawning of a new year. The region of Liyue will play host to a Lantern Rite music festival, and players will be able to participate in seasonal events and all-new mini-games, like the Radiant Sparks racing game, and earn rewards such as a four-star Liyue character, thirteen Intertwined Fates, and a new outfit for Lisa.

Additionally, the update will add a new area, the Desert of Hadramaveth, a zone made all the more dangerous by perpetual sandstorms. Here players will be able to complete new World Quests and search for the long-lost Orchard of Pairidaeza. The update will also bring two new playable characters: Alhaitham is a five-star Dendro swordsman already familiar to players who have played the Sumeru storyline, and Yaoyao is a four-star Dendro polearm user who is able to approach creatures during exploration without alarming them. Finally, the Genius Invokation trading card game introduced in update 3.3 will receive a limited-time game mode with a new rule, a practice that will become standard for further updates from here on out.

Genshin Impact is a free-to-play action RPG that originally released in September 2020 and is available for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, iOS, and Android. Players control a character in the world of Teyvat known as “the Traveler” and must embark on a journey to find their missing sibling. They are joined by NPC companion Paimon, travelling in a party of up to four active members.

I keep wanting to explore this world but the gameplay (the fighting mainly) really didn’t draw me in. Is there a good LP series?
