Welcome to the latest edition of RPGamer’s round-up column, where we look back at some of the articles that we have posted over the previous week. This article is designed to give reminders of some interesting content and stories that our readers might have missed.

Otome visual novel Birushana: Rising Flower of Genpei takes players to Japan in the 12th century CE. Sam Wachter reports that it provides plenty of swoon-worthy historical romance.


Major News

With Crisis Core -Final Fantasy VII- Reunion launching in a couple of weeks, Square Enix shared more from the remaster. A new trailer is joined by some additional screenshots and details.

Koei Tecmo and Gust provided a new trailer, plus screenshots and details, for Atelier Ryza 3. The update reveals more returning party members and covers some of the key changes made to gameplay.

Grinding Gear Games announced Path of Exile’s latest free expansion, The Forbidden Sanctum. It will launch on PC and Mac next week, with a console release following a few days after.

Capcom is bringing Monster Hunter Rise to PlayStation and Xbox consoles. The main game’s release on its new platforms in January will be followed by the Sunbreak expansion in spring.

Prime Matter and Arrowiz’s Mato Anomalies has a release date. The futuristic dystopian RPG will be coming to PC and consoles both physically and digitally in March.

NIS America announced that RPG Maker Fes’s servers will be shutting down alongside the 3DS eShop. Meanwhile, Gotcha Gotcha Games is delaying the release of RPG Maker Unite to spring.
