Gotham Knights Update Adds Co-op Modes

Warner Bros. has released a free update for superhero action RPG Gotham Knights. The update adds two new standlone online multiplayer co-op modes: Heroic Assault and Showdown.

Heroic Assault lets up to four players join forces to face a series of challenges across a thirty-floor dungeon below Gotham City. The enemies within are led by a new foe, Starro the Conqueror, as well as Man-Bat, who is under Starro’s control. Meanwhile, Showdown is a two-player mode that lets players face powered-up versions of the game’s villains, including Mr. Freeze, Harley Quinn, Clayface, and Talia al Ghul. Defeating them grants new legendary gear blueprints as well as suit and Batcycle colour variations. Heroic Assault mode is unlocked to players once they reach Case File 05, while Showdown bosses are unlocked when players have defeated that boss in the main game.

Gotham Knights takes place following the death of Batman, with Batgirl, Nightwing, Red Hood, and Robin attempting to step up as the new protectors of Gotham City. The group finds itself facing the machinations of the Court of Owls, a secretive society that watches Gotham City from the shadows. Gotham Knights is available now on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
