Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous Heading to Consoles in September

Owlcat Games and Prime Matter have announced that cRPG Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous will release on consoles on September 29, 2022. The console version will be available physically and digitally on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, as well as digitally on Nintendo Switch as a cloud title. The console release is dubbed the “Enhanced Edition” and will be available as a free upgrade for PC owners, though it is not clear what enhancements it includes.

In addition, the companies announced that the game’s third DLC, The Treasure of the Midnight Isles, will release for PC on August 11, 2022. The DLC will feature a new adventure across the eponymous islands that can be played as part of the main campaign or in a standalone roguelike mode. Players are encouraged to try out different builds, with the progress of previous parties able to assist players in subsequent runs.

Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous is the follow-up to Owlcat’s previous game, Pathfinder: Kingmaker. The game features both real-time and turn-based combat modes, and originally released for PC in September 2021. Set in the Pathfinder universe, Wrath of the Righteous features a new campaign as players are tasked with repelling an incursion of demons from the Worldwound.
