New Release Round-Up (February 10, 2022)

Welcome to RPGamer’s new release round-up. In this column we look to provide our readers with details on all of the RPGs released over the week. Please note we do not currently include Early Access releases where the game is still in development.


Death end re;Quest 2

Death end re;Quest 2 is a sequel to Death end re;Quest and follows Mai Toyama’s search for her disappeared sister. In order to do this, she moves into the Wordsworth Women’s Dormitory, where other girls begin to disappear. Egglia Rebirth

Egglia Rebirth is a Nintendo Switch port of iOS and Android title Egglia: Legend of the Redcap. Players control an elf named Chabo, who has fallen from the sky and landed on the continent of Egglia. New areas of the world are sealed within eggs and players are tasked with developing the world by constructing houses, summoning spirits, warding off monsters, and forming alliances.


Edge of Eternity

Edge of Eternity combines turn-based and tactical combat, using an ATB-based battle system as well as a combat grid and environmental interactions. The game is set on the planet Heryon, which is plunged into a war between its inhabitants and invaders from space, and follows siblings Daryon and Selene as they look to find a cure for an affliction called the Corrosion. The console versions include all updates applied to the PC version.


Kingdom Hearts HD I.5 + II.5 ReMIX Cloud Version

Kingdom Hearts III is the long-awaited follow-up and conclusion to Kingdom Hearts II. The game sees Sora and his companions searching for the Guardians of Light while attempting to stop Xehonart from beginning a second Keyblade war. The PC version comes with the game’s Re:Mind DLC. Lost Ark

MMORPG Lost Ark takes players to the fantasy world of Arkesia, where they seek to find the eponymous Lost Ark in order to stop demonic forces from overrunning the world. Players are able to customise their skills with the Tripod System, which lets them apply three different upgrades. It includes PvP modes, including duels and open-world battles for control of islands. Players will also be able to claim their own island stronghold, building up and decorating a settlement, and expanding it for up to fifty guest players and NPCs.


Ocean’s Heart

Top-down adventure RPG Ocean’s Heart follows a young woman named Tilia, who sets out on her adventure after her father is kidnapped by the pirate Blackbeard. Her journey goes through numerous locations where she comes across items and weapons that she can use to explore, fight, solve puzzles, and uncover secrets along the way. Rise of the Third Power

Rise of the Third Power is heavily inspired by SNES-era RPGs while its setting is loosely based on the political climate of 1930s Europe. The game features a linear story with optional side quests and story content, while combat focuses on using character and team abilities. Sword of Elpisia

Sword of Elpisia is a retro sprite-based RPG. The game is set in the world of Terra, which has developed thanks to magic. People have been known to transform into magical swords and Alice, a girl travelling with main protagonist Aldo, chooses to become one in order to help rescue their friends.


The Life and Suffering of Sir Brante

Platform: PlayStation 4, Xbox One (previously released on PC)

Choice-driven narrative RPG The Life and Suffering of Sir Brante is set in a fantasy world where a person’s fate is determined by their station of birth. Sir Brante is a lowborn knave, and players can choose whether he accepts the hand dealt him or if he rises up against the system. Throughout the game, players have opportunities to develop Sir Brante’s skills, which impact his personality and relationships.
