Elden Ring Gameplay Footage Explores Castle Mourne

Game Informer has released a gameplay video for FromSoftware’s upcoming open-world action RPG Elden Ring. The four-minute video shows the player character exploring Castle Mourne on the Weeping Peninsula, including the perilous approach to the castle gates and several enemy encounters within the walls. Also on display at one point are various enemy types locked in battle with each other, while the player is able to stealthily sneak by without engaging.

Elden Ring is an action RPG set in a world created by Souls series creator Hidetaka Miyazaki and A Song of Ice and Fire author George R. R. Martin. The game features the mysterious Elden Ring, a power sought by many adventurers that bestows the title of Elden Lord of the Lands Between. Combat can be tackled head-on, by stealth tactics, or by calling on allies for an assist, with an assortment of weapons, skills, and magic to utilize during combat. Elden Ring is set to release for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S on February 25, 2022.
