Rise of the Third Power Set for February
DANGEN Entertainment announced that Stegosoft Games’ Rise of the Third Power will release on February 10, 2022. The party-based RPG will be available digitally on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch, priced at $19.99.
Rise of the Third Power is heavily inspired by SNES-era RPGs while its setting is loosely based on the political climate of 1930s Europe. Set fifteen years after the end of the previous great war, the game follows a party of eight characters embarking on a suicide mission to defeat Dimitri Noraskov, leader of the Arkadyan Empire. He has used his status as hero of the country that was defeated in the previous war to rise to power and begun building up an army while expanding its territory.
The game features a linear story with optional side quests and story content, as well as multiple difficulty options and the ability to save at any time. Combat focuses on using character and team abilities, with players able to swap out party members during battles as they try to exploit enemy weaknesses. Finding new equipment leads to permanent upgrades rather than players having to switch between pieces.
