Fantasian Part Two Launches This Week

Mistwalker announced that the second part of Fantasian will launch on Apple Arcade on August 13, 2021. The final half of the game will be available as an update and adds forty to sixty hours of content. It features a more quest-driven gameplay style compared to the first half, adds expanded character growth maps and the ability to change party members, and includes roughly fifty new dioramas and over thirty new music tracks composed by Nobuo Uematsu.

Fantasian takes place in a multi-dimensional universe and begins in a world ruled by machines. The game follows Leo, a young man who wakes up after a giant explosion in a strange land with only a single memory. Leo journeys to recover his memories while a mechanical infection takes over humanity, with “Chaos and Order” being a key theme. Combat is turn-based and includes directional-based spells that players can aim and curve, while the graphics make use 150+ dioramas created by Japan’s tokusatsu/special effects industry. The first part of the game was released on Apple Arcade in April 2021. Those looking to read more about Fantasian can check out Jason McFadden’s impression of the first part of the game.
