Empire of Sin Precinct Content Update Announced

Paradox Interactive and Romero Games have announced a new free content expansion for strategy title Empire of Sin. The Precinct update is slated to release later this year and adds a new management layer to neighbourhoods. Players can turn their neighbourhoods into integrated and synergised monopolies with new streamlined gameplay mechanics, but these new precincts can attract greater police attention. The update will also add new Chi-Town Mogul and Buyout win conditions, modding tools, and more.

The announcement of the Precinct update comes alongside the launch of the Gangster update. The Gangster update primarily provides quality-of-life changes, and includes an updated weapon proficiency system and improvements to the game’s missions and gamepad control scheme, with the full patch notes available here.

Empire of Sin is a strategy RPG set in Chicago during the 1920 prohibition era. Players select a crime boss and aim to build and expand their criminal empire by recruiting lackeys, bribing cops, and taking control of the black market. The game is available now on PC, Mac, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. Those looking to read more about Empire of Sin can check out Ryan Costa’s review of the PC version.
