Wasteland 3 Hosts the Battle of Steeltown
Developer inXile Entertainment and publisher Deep Silver have announced the first expansion for squad-based RPG Wasteland 3. The expansion is titled The Battle of Steeltown and set around the factory complex of Steeltown that creates all the technology keeping the Patriarch in charge of post-apocalyptic Colorado.
The expansion sees the player’s Ranger squad investigating the complex and uncovering missing deliveries, raiding gangs, and striking workers that threaten Steeltown’s leadership under Abigail Markham. It is available in both solo and co-op mode and adds new quests and robotic enemies. The expansion also adds new combat mechanics — stacking status effects, elemental shields, telegraphed attacks, and non-lethal weapons — and new equipment to the full game. Steeltown‘s difficulty and rewards will be scaled based upon the player’s level when they enter.
The Battle of Steeltown will release as a digital download on June 3, 2021. Like the main game, it will be available for PC, Mac, Linux, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
