King’s Bounty II Gets Developer Q&A Video

Developer 1C Entertainment has released a new developer Q&A video for its upcoming tactical RPG King’s Bounty II. The seven-minute video features Producer Denis Maltzev, Lead Narrative Designer Igor Khudaev, and Quest Designer Dmitry Teleri. The trio addresses such topics as which monsters and races are present in the game’s world, how equipment works between players and soldiers in their squads, and how the game ties into previous series releases and fantasy games in general.

The original King’s Bounty game was designed by Might & Magic series creator Jon Van Canegham and released for PC in 1990. A Sega Genesis version, with significant changes, was released in 1991. A spiritual sequel to the original game, King’s Bounty: The Legend, was released for PC and Mac in 2008, with its engine used for further sequels King’s Bounty: Armored Princess, King’s Bounty: Warriors of the North, and King’s Bounty: Dark Side. King’s Bounty II is being developed for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch, and is set to be released sometime in 2021.
