Welcome to the latest edition of RPGamer’s round-up column, where we take a look back at some of the articles that we have posted over the previous week. This article is designed to give reminders of some interesting content and stories that our less regular visitors might have missed.

After a nine-year run, the Nintendo 3DS finally ceased production this year. We look back at some of our favorite RPGs released on the handheld and invite readers to share theirs.

Radical Fish Games has brought its action RPG CrossCode to consoles. Elmon Dean Todd sees how the indie RPG’s Switch version stacks up against the competition.


Major News

The Reaper’s Game begins anew. Players will return to the streets of Shibuya for NEO: The World Ends with You in summer 2021.

Square Enix is remastering another SaGa game for a new generation. SaGa Frontier Remastered will launch in summer with a new protagonist and additional story events.

The latest Final Fantasy XIV Letter from the Producer revealed a December date for Patch 5.4, Futures Rewritten. Meanwhile, those looking forward to further announcements can set a February date in their planners.

Sword of the Necromancer will not be launching in 2020 after all. The action roguelike will now arrive on PC and consoles at the end of January.

CD Projekt RED followed up its release of Xbox gameplay footage for Cyberpunk 2077 with some new footage of it running on PlayStation consoles. The new video shows some gameplay from the early parts of the Nomad path.
