SaGa Frontier Remastered Releasing in Summer

Square Enix announced that it is releasing an enhanced remastered version of PlayStation title SaGa Frontier. SaGa Frontier Remastered will launch worldwide with Japanese and English text in the summer of 2021 for PC, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android. In addition to upgraded graphics, the remastered version of the game will include a new eighth playable character, Fuse, as well as new events and a high-speed mode.

SaGa Frontier is the seventh game in the SaGa series and released for PlayStation in Japan in 1997 and North America in 1998. Players choose one of the eight protagonists to play as, all of whom exist within the game’s setting, a planetary system called The Regions. Each protagonist has their own primary storyline, with other optional quests available and events affected by player choices during the game.

Hey, I can totally get behind this. I was just thinking a few days ago how cool it would be to see an HD version of this so I didn’t have to go back and play it again on my PS1. There are HUNDREDS of hours, potentially, in this title and the “new” character Fuse shows up in a number of stories. I’ll be buying this on release day.
