Sword of the Necromancer Pushed to January

JanduSoft and Grimorio of Games have announced that action roguelike Sword of the Necromancers release has been pushed back. Previously planned to launch in December, the game will now release on PC via Steam, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch on January 28, 2021. Along with the release date update, the companies provided a new developer diary focusing on the game’s art and music.

Sword of the Necromancer follows Tama, a rogue tasked with escorting priestess Koko on her continental pilgrimage. Unfortunately, Koko dies on their travels, and Tama carries her body to the Necromancer’s crypt, where the power to resurrect the dead is said to lie. In addition to using fallen enemies to fight, Tama also has access to numerous weapon types. Two-player local co-op can also be unlocked through an item called the Flask of the Homunculus, which creates a copy of Tama. The copy has access to all of Tama’s abilities except for being able to revive enemy monsters.
