Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Post-Launch Plans Revealed

Ubisoft has detailed its post-release content for action RPG Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. The plans include a Season Pass, which will feature an exclusive quest and two expansions. The “Legend of Beowulf” quest will be available on launch day and tell the “monstrous truth” behind the legend. The first expansion, Wrath of the Druids, will launch in spring 2021 and take players to Ireland to uncover the mysteries behind a druidic cult. The second expansion, The Siege of Paris, will release in summer 2021 and follows the Viking invasion of West Francia.

In addition to the Season Pass content, free content will also be released across a number of seasons. Each season will offer content spread out across three months, with the first season to begin in December 2020. The first season will include a new settlement area, the Yule Festival, the new River Raids game mode, new equipment and abilities, and more. The Discovery Tour, an educational mode previously added to Assassin’s Creed Origins and Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, will also be added to Assassin’s Creed Valhalla in 2021.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla features an open world complete with sailing. Players will be able to shift the balance of power by dealing with various factions and grow their home settlement, adding and upgrading buildings and facilities while the inhabitants build relationships. Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will launch for Xbox Series X, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC, and Google Stadia on November 10, 2020. The PlayStation 5 version will launch alongside the console in North America on November 12, 2020, and in Europe on November 19, 2020.
