Mary Skelter Finale Opening Movie Released

Compile Heart released the opening movie to its upcoming dungeon crawler Mary Skelter Finale. The video, viewable below, features the theme song “Katsubou no Dilemma”, which is written and arranged by Gesshoku Kaigi, and sung by the group Earphones.

In addition, Compile Heart has provided details one more characters appearing in the game. Guillotine, Iron Maiden, and Gallows are all members of the antagonistic Genocide Pink group, known as the Execution Girls. Guillotine is the leader and is generally polite but can be sadistic, while Iron Maiden is obsessed with both beauty and destroying beauty in others, and Gallows has a habit of wanting something but then getting immediately tired of it. All three are liable to snap and uncontrollable when it happens.

Meanwhile, Snow White and Kaguya are two returning characters who team up with Zyu, and other returning characters Michiru and Chiaki end up with Jack and Mary respectively. Finally, Javabaok is a mysterious old man who seems to appear from nowhere.

Mary Skelter Finale is a sequel to Mary Skelter: Nightmares and Mary Skelter 2. It follows six protagonists who have escaped from the living prison known as The Jail only to discover the outer world is filled with the bodies of those killed by Genocide Pink. The protagonists are scattered into smaller groups, who aim to converge upon an Overseer Tower floating in the sky in order to make their final escape. The game is set to be released in Japan on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch on October 8, 2020.
