Rune Factory 4 Special Launches in February

XSEED Games and Marvelous Europe have announced the North American and European release dates for Rune Factory 4 Special. The game will launch for Nintendo Switch in North America on February 25, 2020, with its European release following on February 28, 2020. A limited Archival Edition is available to order for $59.99/£55.00, while the standard digital and physical editions are priced at $39.99/£32.99/€39.99. The “Another Episode” DLC — which adds twelve storybook episodes narrated by the game’s marriage candidates — will be available for free for the first four weeks following the game’s launch, after which it will be priced at $4.99/£4.49/€4.99.

Rune Factory 4 Special is an updated version of Nintendo 3DS title Rune Factory 4. Improvements in Special include upgraded graphics, additional event scenes, and a new “Newlywed Mode”. The game is part of a spin-off series to the Bokujō Monogatari (aka Story of Seasons) farming sim series and focuses more on dungeon-crawling and defeating monsters over raising livestock.
