More Katana Kami Information and Screenshots Revealed

Acquire and Spike Chunsoft revealed more details for the upcoming Way of the Samurai spin-off action RPG, Katana Kami: A Way of the Samurai Story. The game will include side activities such as shops that increase their wares as the player’s Satisfaction among the three major factions increases, a request system that allows players to accept quests from the local bulletin boards, a blacksmith that can repair and upgrade the party’s weapons, and hiding in the bushes near the blacksmith is an apprentice that accepts gifts that he will give to the kidnapped Nanami Doujima who sends back items as thanks.

The images below also show off some of the game’s locations. The Cave of the Pine Tree acts as the game’s tutorial dungeon, the Lost Forest of Night is the main dungeon at the beginning of the game, and the Isolated Village resides in Jikai where friendly monsters live. Jikai exists in the other world and the Isolated Village is a place where players can buy and sell items, find lost items, and send items to the real world.

Katana Kami: A Way of the Samurai Story is scheduled to release in Japan on February 20, 2020 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PC. While the game has been rated in Australia, there has been no official announcement of a release outside Japan.
