Way of the Samurai Spin-Off Katana Kami Heading to PS4, Switch, and PC

Spike Chunsoft has provided screenshots and a trailer for the Way of the Samurai action RPG spin-off, Katana Kami: A Way of the Samurai Story. The game is scheduled to release in Japan on February 20, 2020, for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PC. While no western release has been announced for Katana Kami, the game has been rated in Australia.

Being published by Spike Chunsoft and developed by Acquire, Katana Kami is an action RPG that follows a samurai as he pays off his debt to a blacksmith by finding his kidnapped daughter. The game will have a day and night cycle where players can forge weapons and make money, while at night venture into another world to fight enemies and collect materials for smithing. There will also be cameos from characters from the Way of the Samurai series.

Katana Kami will launch both digitally and physically in Japan. A gallery of screenshots and a teaser trailer can be viewed below.
