Sunless Skies Heading to Console

Publisher Digerati and developer Failbetter Games have announced Sunless Skies: Sovereign Edition, which will bring the game to consoles. The Sovereign Edition will include new content and changes, including new stories centred around starvation, an overhaul to the character progression UI, and new ways to define the player captain’s past. Sunless Skies: Sovereign Edition will be released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch sometime in the first half of 2020, with PC and Mac players who own Sunless Skies getting access to the Sovereign Edition for free.

Set in the Fallen London universe, Sunless Skies is the follow-up to Sunless Sea, taking place in space following London’s expansion into the final frontier. The game was fully launched for PC, Mac, and Linux in January 2019 after undergoing a successful Kickstarter campaign and period on Steam Early Access.

The companies also announced that Sunless Sea: Zubmariner Edition will be coming to Xbox One and Nintendo Switch in 2020 following its launch last year on PlayStation 4. The new console ports of both titles are being created by Nephilim Game Studios.
