Dauntless Welcomes New Behemoth to the Hunt

Developer Phoenix Labs has released an all-new content update for its upcoming co-op action RPGĀ Dauntless. Chief among the new additions is the brand-new behemoth, Boreus. Marking a first for enemy encounters in the game, the frost-powered Boreus has the ability to summon swarms of airborne allies to make the lives of all Slayers who decide to take him on more difficult. Other new content includes a new seasonal event, the Hunt Pass Season 3: Overgrowth, which runs from March 13 to April 16 and introduces the Farslayers, a new faction in the Shattered Isles, as well as giving players the ability to earn a full set of Farslayer gear. An accompanying developer update video, viewable below, details these as well as other new additions to the game.

Currently in open beta, Dauntless is making its way to a full release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via the Epic Games Store in summer 2019, having been pushed back a bit from its previous April release target. The developers have confirmed that all release versions of the game will feature cross-play, friend lists, matchmaking, and a chat system. Future releases for Nintendo Switch and iOS are also planned, though without any definite release dates.
