Welcome to the latest edition of RPGamer’s newest column, where we take a quick look back at some of the articles we’ve posted throughout the week. This article is designed to help give reminders for some interesting editorial content and stories that our less regular visitors might have missed. During this initial trial period we would very much appreciate any feedback or comments on its usefulness. With that said, let’s get to the articles!

Editorial Content

It’s taken a while but we finally have a new game in the Darksiders series. Pascal Tekaia’s embarks on the journey with the third Horseman of the Apocalypse Fury and tells us how it went.

Joe Hanley makes his reviewing debut for RPGamer, checking out Radical Fish Games’ CrossCode. The retro-action RPG looks to emulate 16-bit classics but brings its own spin on things.

Sacred Earth – Promise is a visual novel-RPG hybrid from MirageV and Sacred Star Team. Mike Moehnke offers his thoughts on the title.

After releasing for PC last year, Daedalic Entertainment’s The Long Journey Home is now available on console. Alex Fuller offers a report on how his journey went.


Major News

The western release date for Atelier spin-off Nelke and the Legendary Alchemists has been set for the end of March. In addition, developer Gust revealed a few more characters appearing in the game.

Mage’s Initiation: Reign of the Elements is an upcoming title inspired by the classic Sierra adventures from the 1990s. The game will be coming to PC early next year.

Published by Kemco and developer by Mercenaries Saga developer RideonJapan, life sim-RPG hybrid Marenian Tavern Story is now available on consoles. The game is available worldwide on Switch and on PS4 in North America.

The Agarest series is set to return next year. Idea Factory International has announced that it is bringing the previously Japan-only PSP spin-off to PC via Steam.

Post-apocalyptic RPG Mutant Year Zero releases next week on PC and Consoles. Ahead of the game’s launch, The Bearded Ladies and Funcom revealed an additional playable character, the silent fox assassin Farrow.
