The Color of Madness Paints a Release Date

Red Hook Studios, developer of Darkest Dungeon, has announced the release date for the upcoming DLC The Color of Madness. The expansion will shamble its way onto PC, Mac, and Linux on June 19, 2018, for the price of $4.99. The PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and iPad will all receive the content at a later date.

The Color of Madness adds in a new area, the Farmstead, where players will be able to tackle an endless, wave-based endurance challenge, the results of which can be saved and shared online. A new boss, The Miller, and his henchmen will serve as a new retinue of enemies slowly being corrupted by the fallen comet that struck near the Farmstead. Players will be able to collect pieces of the comet to trade for new trinkets. Finally, the DLC will add new music and further secrets the developers are not willing to share.
