Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Splintered Fate Receives New Update, DLC
Super Evil Megacorp has released its newest update and DLC for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Splintered Fate. The free “The King’s Gambit” update sees the Rat King appearing as a new end-game boss for players to take on. Acting as a grand finale for the game, the encounter with the Rat King requires players to first defeat Shredder multiple times and successfully rescue Master Splinter. The final run will require players to get past the Rat King’s minions, with him able to summon past bosses to help him. The update also adds the dinosaur Pepperoni as a new ally in their lair.
Meanwhile, the new paid DLC adds Slash as a playable character to the game’s roster. Slash is built around fortitude and is slower than other characters, using his claws and physical strength to deal damage, while able to use knockback abilities to control combat. He has a natural affinity for Water and Ooze powers, and also has access to his special Enraged mode, which lets him move faster and deal more damage for a brief period. The DLC also adds five new Artifacts to the game. In addition, there is additional Samurai Armor Pack DLC, which includes new armour for all playable characters. Meanwhile, a brand new Platinum Bundle allows new players to purchase the game and all paid DLC in one bundle.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Splintered Fate originally released on Apple Arcade in 2023, with a Nintendo Switch version released in July 2024, followed later by PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2 versions. The game features four-player co-op as the turtles set out to rescue Splinter from the clutches of the Foot Clan, travelling to various locales through mysterious portals.
