Cassette Beasts 2002 Releasing in March

Publisher Raw Fury and developer Bytten Studio announced that monster-battling RPG Cassette Beasts 2002 will release in March 2027. The game, a follow-up to 2023 title Cassette Beasts, will release for PC, Linux, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2. A new trailer also reveals some of the voice cast with Colin Ryan as Oliver, Samantha Béart as Prue, Savy Des-Etages as Nell, Nhi Do as Eden, Rebecca Hansen as Bella, River Medway as L, and Neil Newbon as Westerly.

Cassette Beasts 2002 is set in Nodnol, an ode to 2000s London where man and beast collide, with players able to import their character from the first game. The game sees players uncovering an occultist’s plot by recording monsters on cassettes and playing the tapes back to take on their form in battle. It features over 250+ beasts, which can be fused together to form over 50,000 possible combinations. Players can befriend, recruit, and romance twelve potential companions, with the game also including multiplayer features that include cassette trading, co-op random encounters and story mode, 1v1 battles with power scaling, and timed challenges.
