I haven’t played a gacha game that has shut down, but I did have a few friends upset at the closure of Dragalia Lost.
I think the funniest shutdown goes to “Love Live School Idol Festival 2: Miracle Live” which had global launch and global shutdown announced simultaneously: launch in February, end of service in May.
I haven’t played any gacha games and I don’t intend to. Having said that, I felt something almost like melancholy when Tales of the Rays shutdown. Even though it was Japan only (it was available in English for a very short time only), the cast of Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World was featured a lot in the game. It was nice to see them get some love, seeing as DotNW is often unfairly maligned in the western Tales fanbase.
