I, too, am most looking forward to Pokémon Legends Z-A. It almost makes me want to get a Switch 2 early with how good the latest Pokémon Presents makes it look. I imagine I can always upgrade later once I do get the system, though.
I’m looking forward to the Final Fantasy Tactics remaster. I’ve never played it and I’ve been very nostalgic for the late 90’s and early 2000’s this year. Also the new Digimon game looks like it could be pretty good.
Final Fantasy Tactics Ivalice and the Chained Echoes DLC are at the top of my list for second half releases (respectfully disagree with Tam’s take on Chained Echoes—it was a masterpiece).
Somewhat disappointed by the omission of War of the Lions content from Tactics, but it is still an amazing game that is sure to find a new audience on modern consoles.
Pokemon Legends: Z-A is the main “completely new” RPG I’m looking forward to for the rest of 2025, but a lot of my attention is focused on remakes: Final Fantasy Tactics, Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter, and Dragon Quest I+II.
Super Robot Wars Y is the one I’m most looking forward to.
