  1. There is a way to speed up the games in Collection of SaGa. You can press the L button to switch between normal and Fast speeds.

Anyway, I was obsessed with Pokémon Red in my tweens. I was really engrossed with the anime and a bit of the card game as well, though mostly to collect the cards. I remember replaying Pokémon Red a few times to try out different teams until I settled on one. I even remember the schoolyard rumors of Pokegods, Pikablu, and other supposedly secret Pokémon. I was skeptical of them after I fell for the Yoshi “trick.”

I spent a lot of time playing sonic 2, Shinobi III and Ranger X. We had just gotten a Sega Genesis around that time.

What game did not Engross me as a Tween.

Like I played FF4, FF6, Chrono Trigger, Breath of Fire, Breath of Fire 2 so many times at that age it’s ridiculous. I had like hand wrritten notes of FF6 with all the different monsters in the game that I would cross out when Gau learned them as Rages. I also remember having a binder filled with pages for different games and the Game Genie codes that would work on them.
