Vampire Survivors PlayStation Release Announced

Developer poncle has announced that the roguelike bullet hell game Vampire Survivors will be launching on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 this summer. The game will include all the latest updates and offer all four DLCs for purchase at launch. Additionally, a new DLC titled Vampire Survivors: Operation Guns, featuring a collaboration with Konami’s Contra series is set to release on May 9, 2024, for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Android, iOS, and PC via Steam, priced at $2.49 / €2.49 / £1.99. The PlayStation release will follow at a later date.

Vampire Survivors: Operation Guns enables players to take control of classic Contra characters as they navigate through terrifying enemies and face off against insane bosses from Konami’s renowned series. The DLC merges arcade-hard gameplay with the original Vampire Survivors formula. Among the new features in the DLC are: a new stage called New Galuga, offering biomes inspired by classic Contra stages; eleven additional characters, including the two main protagonists of the Contra series, Bill Rizer and Lance Bean; over 22 weapons, with the option to evolve them into experimental prototype weapons; and a soundtrack featuring six remixed tracks that blend classic Contra music with Vampire Survivors themes.

In Vampire Survivors, players must survive against hordes of creatures throughout the entire night, following the emptiness of hell’s residents. The game offers simplistic gameplay with rogue-lite elements. Currently, it is available on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Android, iOS, PC, and Mac.

I have been gaming since I received the Sega Master System as a young child, which was the first console I ever owned (Yes, I am that old). The game that got me into RPGs was Final Fantasy VIII, a game that I still adore to this day. My favorite RPG of all time, however, is Shadow Hearts on the PS2. I do have many other interests outside of gaming as well, such as watching old-school wrestling, Reading books, 80s movies.... or anything 80s related as a matter of fact.
