Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth Details Sujimon

Sega and Ryū ga Gotoku Studio released new details for Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth covering the game’s Sujimon side content. It expands on the content of the same name introduced in Yakuza: Like a Dragon, adding a new storyline, training and battle mechanics, a new job, and more.

Sujimon are a variety of dangerous individuals that be found around the game’s locations. Ichiban Kasuga can befriend and recruit a team of Sujimon, training them up and battling them against other teams of Sujimon as he looks to eventually defeat the Discreet Four and the Sujimon Master. Opportunities to recruit Sujimon can come up after battles, with players needing to offer a Suji Gift to recruit them. Players can also participate in raids, which offer a limited-time opportunities to recruit special Sujimon, as well get Sujimon from various gacha spots.

 

 

Sujimon battles see three Sujimon from each side face against each other. Kasuga can issue commands to the Sujimon, which come in five types with their own strengths and weaknesses. Sujimon can be strengthened by giving them a special drink called Sujimunch. They can also be powered up by combining two of the same Sujimon, and can eventually evolve into a new form.

Sujimon will also participate in the game’s Dondoko Island content. The Sujimon can work and train on the island’s farm, growing crops and earning money while increasing their faith in Kasuga, which allows him to have more direct influence on battles. Finally, the content will unlock the Sujimancer job for Kasuga. This lets him summon his Sujimon into regular battles and becomes more powerful the more Sujimon he trains.

Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth sees Yakuza: Like a Dragon protagonist Ichiban Kasuga traveling to Hawaii in search of his mother, where he is joined by long-time series protagonist Kazuma Kiryu, only to uncover something more sinister behind the scenes. Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth will release worldwide on January 26, 2024, for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
